About the Speaker:

Betsy A. Hays, APR – Associate Professor, Department of Mass Communication & Journalism at California State University, Fresno

Prof. Betsy A. Hays, APR, manages the public relations sequence and the internship program for the Department of Mass Communication & Journalism at California State University, Fresno. She is also an accomplished speaker, workshop leader, and facilitator. Hays is an accredited public relations professional, having earned her “APR” designation from the Public Relations Society of America. With more than 20 years of public relations experience, she has been a strategic communication consultant for a number of nonprofit and private sector organizations. Hays opened her boutique agency, Betsy Hays Public Relations, in 2003. She has been a Coleman Fellow via the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship since 2006 and created the nation's first ever Public Relations Entrepreneurship course in 2007. She served on the Board of Directors of the Central California Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America from 1998-2010, including two years as president. She was named PRSA’s Public Relations Professional of the Year in 2000. 

 

Lunch Choices:

  • Chinese Chicken Salad - Chicken breast, crisp noodles, mandarin oranges, almonds, green onions, tossed with lettuce and dressing.        
  • Vegetarian Sandwich - Alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheddar cheese on whole wheat toast.   
  • Soup and Sandwich - Turkey sandwich with green chicken enchilada soup.
  • Annie's Cheese Steak - Thin sliced rib eye, chopped on the grill with onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, provolone cheese on a roll.
