This panel will discuss the need (or lack thereof) for CEQA Reform, and the various legislative efforts put forth over last several years to enhance California’s landmark environmental statute.  The panel will discuss potential mechanisms to improve the act, and the prospects of reform/enhancement in 2014 and beyond.  The panel includes Sara Hedgpeth-Harris, an attorney who primarily represents petitioners seeking to challenge project approvals under CEQA; John Fox, a former city attorney who represents public agencies in connection with CEQA compliance; and John Kinsey, who assists both applicants and agencies navigate the CEQA process and create defensible documents.
