This is an invitation to join planners, environmental professionals and their families at the 17th Sierra Retreat.  For the first time, the event will be co-hosted by APA and AEP!  Join us at Sequoia Lake at the entrance to Kings Canyon National Park for professional development mixed with social events and relaxing for the entire family.

Invited Keynote Speaker: Julia Lave Johnston, new Planning and Policy Director for OPR, has been invited to lead a spirited discussion on climate change and our communities.  According to Julia, “addressing global warming will create cities and towns that look much different from the way they look today.”  The discussion will be highlighted by OPR’s recent and on-going work on GHG emissions, transitioning into examples and hands-on breakouts on how to respond to these issues.
