Join us for a CEQA/NEPA conference in Mammoth Lakes, CA. The Central Chapter will offer a half day CEQA Basics Workshop, a half day Advanced CEQA Workshop and a half day NEPA Workshop. We'll also have a Mobile Workshop offered Saturday morning on fly fishing.

 

We'd also like to invite you to meet up on Thursday evening for a mixer and on Friday evening for dinner. These meals are not included in the cost of workshop.

 

The conference fees include the CEQA Workshops, the NEPA Workshop, Continental Breakfast on Friday and the Keynote Luncheon on Friday.

The Conference will be held in the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth Lakes, CA. The hotel has rooms reserved a limited number of rooms for us at $169 per night. Opening Reception

Jim Reed from Liebersbach, Mohun, Carney & Reed will be talking about the famous Friends of Mammoth case which resulted in the comprehensive CEQA we know today.

 

Keynote Luncheon

Mammoth Community Water District & Los Angeles' Dept. of Water and Power Water Rights Agreement and ORMAT  Geothermal IV project EIR/EIS. Speaker - Patrick Hayes, General Manager, Mammoth Community Water District.

 

Fly Fishing

Gene Talmadge, AEP's President , will be leading a Fly Fishing Workshop to a local creek where participants will learn fly fishing basics during a catch and release fishing trip. Participants will be asked to bring their own gear, fishing license, water & lunch. Gene will bring the flies. Limited gear will be available for people who don't have their own. It's recommended that you wear comfortable shoes, long pants, long sleeve shirt, hat, sunglasses and bug spray. Participants may get wet.
