What is the San Joaquin River like at night? The river is alive with the activities and sounds of its inhabitants! Join us as we paddle the San Joaquin River in the light of a full moon surrounded by its wildlife and symphony of sound. For safety, we will be taking a very familiar route, Lost Lake Park to The Fresno County Sportsman’s Club.
August is the perfect time of year for a calm, easy kayak ride, so you don't need to be an experienced kayaker. We will be starting at twilight, witnessing a beautiful sunset, and allowing our eyes to adjust to moonlight. Then our senses will be strained as we absorb the sights and sounds of the river in the moonlight. You will always remember this experience!
The San Joaquin River Stewardship Program will provide guides for the trip, stable sit-on-top kayaks, and life jackets. All you need to bring is your personal gear and a spirit of adventure. Space is limited and we must submit the registration list 30 days in advance for insurance purposes. Invite your family and friends and register today! (Participants must be at least 18 years of age!)
