Tour of a City of Fresno well site, City of Clovis Water Reuse Facility, City of Clovis park/Flood Control stormwater basin/Fresno Irrigation District canal and City of Fresno Surface Water Treatment Facility. A bus will take participants to each location with a stop for snacks.
The tour will focus on the water services in Fresno from drinking water, surface water treatment, stormwater, water reuse, water conservation and water recharge.
Tentative Schedule
8:00 am Meet at Fresno Metroplitan Flood Control District, 5469 E Olive Ave, Fresno.
8:30 am City of Fresno Well #PS 168
9:15 am City of Fresno Surface Water Treatment Facility at Chestnut and Behymer Ave.
11:00 am City of Clovis Water Reuse Facility at Ashlan & Thompson Ave.
12:15 pm Stormwater Basin 1E & Park.
1:00 pm Return to Flood Control District.
This tour may run over the scheduled time. We will have another vehicle that can return you to the starting location if you need to leave early. Snacks will be provided.
