Join us for a CEQA Legislative Update from Matt Klopfenstein of California Advisors, LLC. The presentation will take a look back at the 2017 legislative session and also forecast what's ahead in 2018. It will focus on bills related to housing, transportation, telecommunications and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as the tumultuous state politics that will be developing in 2018. AICP & MCLE Credit Available!


Arrive at 5:30 pm to chat with other environmental professionals before the presentation, and to select your dinner option. The presentation will start at 6:00 p.m.

Speaker Bio

Matt Klopfenstein is the Legislative and Legal Advisor at California Advisors, LLC. As a registered lobbyist, he advocates for clients on issues regarding energy, transportation, high-tech, local government and the environment. He actively tracks and engages on legislation and regulatory proceedings for the firm’s clients. Before joining CalAdvisors, Mr. Klopfenstein worked as a law clerk representing local government agencies. He obtained a J.D. degree and the Capitol Certificate in Public Law & Policy from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif with great distinction. He received a B.A. degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
