Forestiere Underground Gardens Tour

Is it too hot this summer? Try going underground!

Join your fellow AEP members for a walking tour of the lovely Forestiere Underground Gardens in Fresno. Then join us afterwards for lunch at Pieology located on Herndon Avenue off of Highway 99. Family members are welcome!

The tour will start promptly at 9:30 AM. Please arrive by 9:15 so we can start the tour on time. Itinerary includes a brief history of the gardens and then a 45-minute tour. We anticipate being at the gardens for an hour an a half.

On-street parking is on Shaw Avenue in front of the entrance gate. Please do not park in front of the mailbox. Parking is also available on Forestiere Avenue at the corner of Shaw Avenue near Garden Inn Suites Hotel.

TOUR POLICIES

1. Stay with your group and tour host so you don't get lost!  These are *guided* tours for your safety and the preservation of the site.
2. All of the fruit on the tour and the grounds is considered "forbidden fruit" - no picking it! 
3. We are a "true earth" environment and our hardpan planters, walls and surfaces are delicate. Please do not sit or climb on the planters or furnishings. 
4. Photos of the historic site are vacation photos for your personal enjoyment. All rights to photos taken of the site remain with the Forestiere Underground Gardens, and may not be copyrighted or sold. (please see our photo policy)
5. Please keep your children with you at all times.  Our open air museum can be exciting for children, but it is not a playground.  

The Forestiere Underground Gardens cannot accommodate pets, strollers, motorized scooters, or wheelchairs wider than 26".
